Benwiese.com : 4 Laps At Speed. Race Report, 12/11/05 Murray Bridge Speedway
17/11/2005 - Ben Wiese

Hi everyone, Ben Wiese here and welcome to my first of many Brooke Tatnell style race weekend reports.

On the 12th of November the team ventured to Murray Bridge speedway for the first race meeting of the season. I am not sure I can call it a race meeting for my team. In total for the night I turned about 4 laps at speed. A slight miss in the engine during the first heat cut that short while the 5s was leading. In the second heat the car was running better but sudden suspected terminal engine failure ended the night short. It may have just been a plug lead coming off because no damage has been observed during investigation this week. A relieve for my budget and me but still very frustrating.

It was a disappointing start to 2005/2006 season. Matt Egel (SA) and Brad Jackson(Vic) had some good tussles throughout the night and it would have been good to have a solid shakedown before the first round of the Speedcar Super Series (SSS).

After finding no terminal damage to the engine and modifying a few things the team is eagerly awaiting the start to the SSS. If you would like to know more about the SSS please check out my updated links page for a link to the SSS site.
Please feel free to check out the latest updates to my site. These include a new desktop background in multimedia/downloads and also the addition of numerous photos to Gallery/Personal Photos (thanks to Ray Ritter & Paris Charles).
I am glad I could give you an update on my season so far and I hope to see you at Avalon. Bring on the Super Series.
