Speedcar
newcomer Tarin Edge is set to head south this weekend to
battle it out with the big boys of Speedcar racing. The
24-year old will be steering his Murphy/Fontana machine
against the best Midget racers from the Southern
hemisphere and he couldn’t be happier.
“The whole Morton & May team are really looking forward
to heading to Avalon again this weekend” said Tarin
recently. “We initially weren’t going to contest the
series, but the SSS prize pool is the best you’ll get in
Australia and we just wanted to be part of it to give us
some extra experience on the track”.
The rookie racer was far from struggling at his last
endeavour at Avalon Raceway, coming home in 6th place
against Victorian Speedcar stars and fellow Sydneysider
Mark Cooper who took first prize.
With intentions of travelling excessively through the
season Tarin and the team are aware just how valuable
their team sponsorships are.
“The Morton & May Speedcar Team would more than likely
not be running this series without the continued
assistance of our great sponsors Valvoline, Morton & May
Wheels, WBG Trailer Repairs and Snap On Tools Chipping
Norton” suggested Tarin’s brother and car owner Jayden
Edge. “The support they have provided has been
outstanding and we can’t thank them enough.”
