Round 1 of the Speedcar Super Series is set to light up Avalon this weekend with Australian & New Zealand Speedcar Superstars racing wheel to wheel for a prize pool of over $10,000! Also up for grabs is a $100 National Speedway Illustrated Quick Time prize, $200 from Rod Bowen Smash Repairs for first place in the pole shuffle and a US $150 voucher from M&W Aluminium’s for tenth home in the A Main.

“The interest in the SSS in Victoria has been overwhelming” Ken Jenkins, Series Director said today. “The Victorian fans will no doubt experience some of the best Midget racing they’ve seen in a long time when the SSS hits the track on Saturday”.

Arriving for this season’s first assault on the Australian Speedcar scene is Michael Pickens (NZ) and Adam Clarke (AU) with the renowned Seamount Racing Team. After flying their brand new Breka/Ed Pink Ford machines in from New Zealand after fears of wharf delays holding them back from the action, the two are now set to charge when the green flag drops!

Taking on Clarke & Pickens is current Australian Speedcar Champion Steven Graham in the Valvoline/Richard Petty Driving Experience machine and superstars including Dene McAllan, Peter Bourke, Stevie Walsh, Mark Cooper, Brett Morris, Harley Bishop, Troy Jenkins, Nathan Smee, Grant Draney, Matt Young, Troy Jordan and more!

TYRE RULE:

The Right Rear tire will be a SD35 but we will arrange to carry BRANDED SD38 compound tires for tracks that may use up tires.

The Left Rear will be an American Racer but will not require branding.

BREKA RULE:

Every competitor at each racetrack will be required to display the logo of major sponsor, Breka. Breka will supply stickers. This is to be placed above the number on the front of bonnet (size is approx: 12” x 2.5”)
