SSS Drivers Deliver at Home!

With under three weeks until the next spine-tingling Speedcar Super Series event hits Borderline Speedway Mt Gambier, opinions are mixed on who will walk away with Round three's $2,000 prize. With SSS contracted drivers taking out events across the country, some have found it virtually impossible to pick a winner!

South Australian hot-shot and SSS contracted driver Ben Wiese of the Bio-Cycle #5 will no doubt be on the ticket with round three running before his local supporters. Wiese recently took out the South Australian Speedcar club show at Murray Bridge on 10th December and looks favourable to continue his winning form through to the SSS on the 7th of January. Currently running 6th in the SSS Championship, Wiese's impressive driving on the series has been widely commented on by racers and fans alike, as he continues to challenge the internationally renowned Speedcar competitors. Wiese will be joined by his fellow South Aussie chargers to take on the touring competitors from QLD, WA, NSW, VIC and New Zealand hoping to utilise their home soil advantage.

Meanwhile on the East coast, SSS contracted drivers Troy Jordan and Harley Bishop have continued their reign on the Victorian Speedcar scene. Jordan recently steered his V11 machine to a win at Bairnsdale in November, backing it up with a second placing last weekend at Rolling Thunder Raceway. Bishop is currently running 9th in the SSS Championship, and Jordan in 16th having scored no points in last round's A Main after rolling down the back straight!

On the Sydney scene, Mark Brown recently triumphed after a thrilling battle in the closing laps between the front four competitors at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway. Having been victorious at Avalon Raceway in Round 1 of the SSS and placing second to Kiwi Michael Pickens in Round 2 at Charlton Raceway, the ex-South Australian Speedcar Title holder looks on target to take on the competition once again in his Adila Motorsports Aggressor/Mopar combination.

Yet no-one can exclude the likes of Michael Pickens, podium place-getters Steven Graham and Adam Clarke, plus Mark Cooper, Grant Draney, Peter Bourke and Dene McAllan to name but a few of the contenders for SSS Round Three.

Can you pick the winner?
