Can America's Jimmy Sills Teach SSS Drivers a Lesson?

Friday, 23 December 2005 - SSS PR

In breaking news, SSS Director Ken Jenkins has today announced American Sprint & Midget legend Jimmy Sills will be contesting round three of the Speedcar Super Series. Steering the brand new Stanton Mopar/Beast Speedcar owned by Paul Jordan, Sills is set to take on Australia and New Zealand's top Speedcar drivers in what looks to be another smashing SSS round!

With over thirty years of speedway competition under his belt in divisions including Super Modifieds, Motorcycles, Sprints, USAC Champ Cars and Midgets; Sills has literally raced it all! In doing so he's added a barrage of wins to his name such as multiple Silver Crown Championships, the Hulman Hundred, Indianapolis Hoosier 100, Bettenhausen 100 and Ohio Speedweek, plus over 400 feature wins across the grades, including multiple victories on the World of Outlaws Sprintcar Series.

Renowned for his School of Open Wheel Racing in California, Sills has ventured to Australia sixteen times and New Zealand five, where he has successfully captured the Sprintcar Classic, Pan Pacific Championship and the Queensland Sprintcar Title. Now he is set to take on the likes of young-gun Michael Pickens of New Zealand, Sydney star Mark Brown, the current Australian Speedcar Champion Steven Graham and a huge host of Speedcar talent at Borderline Speedway Mt Gambier on the 7th of January.

The question now is whether the legend can teach the Speedcar hot-shots of the Southern Hemisphere a thing or two!
