The 65th Australian Speedcar Championship has been run and won, with USA's BMARA star Davey Ray taking victory in the prestigious event.

In a fantastic display of Speedcar racing, Jerry Coons Jnr led for 38 laps of the 40-lap A main feature only to miss the win after lapped traffic came into play; Davey jumped to the lead and secured his maiden Australian Speedcar Championship.

Six of our SSS drivers secured spots in the starting grid in one of the most highly talented fields formed in years. Our own Adam Clarke came home in 3rd, Mark Brown 5th, Michael Pickens 6th, Nathan Smee 11th, Dene McAllan 14th & Grant Draney in 17th.

SSS driver Steven Graham took a nasty turn 3 spill, rolling out of the B Main on Saturday night. Steven, who had missed his heats due to engine problems was on the move from the rear to earn his A main starting position. In a series of fast paced rolls, Steven was transported to Westmead hospital for tests and further observation.
