South Australian race
fans start the countdown! Next weekend the Wild ‘n’
Wingless Mighty Midgets roar into Murray Bridge for
the opening round of the 06/07 Speedcar Super
Series; it’s the only place to be this coming
Saturday night!
With twenty-nine Speedcars expected to rattle some
cages from Queensland, New South Wales, Western
Australia, Victoria and your own South Australian
representatives; Murray Bridge will host the
kick-off SSS round 1, where every driver will be on
the throttle for the opener.
“Getting up in the series points early will be a big
advantage for any driver chasing the Stealth
Motorsports chassis and series prize pool” says
series Director Ken Jenkins. “Not only will Murray
Bridge see Australia’s best midget campaigners out
to claim the opening round’s $2,000 first prize, but
also the best of best fighting forward for overall
points… and these guys won’t hold back!”

With Australia’s seasoned
performers hitting Murray Bridge, look out for lap
records to be broken throughout the event. Here is what
they will need to demolish!
8 laps Peter Ghent Jnr (8/3/03) 1:59.2
10 laps Tim Crouch (13/3/04) 2:21.2
12 laps Steven Graham (12/3/05) 2:41.0
15 laps Peter Ghent Jnr (8/3/03) 3:40.9
20 laps Peter Ghent Jnr (13/3/04) 4:46.3
30 laps Steven Graham (12/3/05) 6:45.9
Will Victoria’s Peter Ghent Jnr retain his multiple
accolades or will he better the times to lower his own
records even further? It’s anyone’s game with the recent
introduction of the SSS 35-lap Feature! Looking at the
talented nominations listed below, you would be a genius
if you could pick a winner!
