The third round of the Speedcar Super Series gets underway tomorrow night at Avalon Raceway, Victoria after two spectacular showdowns at rounds 1 and 2! With six different drivers securing podium positions, the battle for the 06-07 SSS championship remains anyone’s and each driver will be on the pedal to stamp their authority on the points ladder!

Round two winner, Dene McAllan of Western Australia leads the troupe with Mark Brown, Neville Lance and round one winner Troy Jenkins close behind. But don’t count out a complete change of the podium holders once again this weekend, as the series hits the home track of the Victorian Speedcar Drivers Association.

“Harley Bishop and Peter Ghent should be really strong at this round” said the eager SSS Director Ken Jenkins. “This is their home track, though most of the contracted racers have had plenty of track time at Avalon over the years. This could be one of the closest races yet!”

Likewise with $2000 prize money on offer for the feature winner, it’s anyone’s guess who will take out round three from a standout line-up of Speedcar superstars from across the country.

A double header race meeting with the opening round of the V8 Dirt Modified series, and only one short week before the prestigious Australian Speedcar Grand Prix, this is a race meeting not to be missed!
