After five rounds of the
highly intense Speedcar Super Series, the travelling six
round show heads to Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway
for the final showdown this Saturday night! Rightly
named the "Rondalee 35" after one of the SSS' major
sponsors, the 35 lap A-Main feature is set to ignite!
Four drivers have captured SSS victory in the 2006-2007
season; Troy Jenkins, Dene McAllan, Neville Lance and
Mark Brown (2); all feature winners claiming the $2000
winners prize cheque. Vying for podium glory again this
weekend, the final round at TPCR has an added incentive
to all competitors; $3000 payable to the "Rondalee 35"
feature winner!
Likewise the battle for the Speedcar Super Series
Championship isn’t over yet with the fierce competition
creating the best speedway racing viewed across the
country. Current leader, Sydney's Mark Brown heads into
Round 6 with a home track advantage ahead of West
Australian’s Neville Lance and Dene McAllan in second
and third; only 329 and 398 points behind on the tally
board. Fellow NSW hard-chargers Troy Jenkins and Nathan
Smee are sitting in fourth and fifth respectively; both
of whom have TPCR feature wins credited to their name
this season. Peter Bourke, a racer with numerous podium
results and a TPCR track championship to his credit adds
to the ever growing question of who will win?

"We're going into the
final round and any one of the top three have the
opportunity to win the Stealth Motorsports Chassis! It's
so close out there, one mistake could mean losing out in
a big way" says series director Ken Jenkins. "Plus being
on Sydney turf it's hard to imagine the likes of Brown,
Smee, Jenkins and the rest of the local heroes are going
to let these guys slip through easy; so the racing
should be thick and fast!"
After two solid performances at the Australian Speedcar
Championships earlier this year (both finishing in the
top ten), SSS drivers Ben Wiese and Matt Young, racing
for Rinkin Motorsport, are set to challenge the points
leaders striving for the $3000 payout; but in doing so
they also need to battle it out with the SSS
representatives for Victoria; Peter Ghent Jnr and their
club President Harley Bishop!
As per Speedcar racing across Australia, it won’t be an
easy task by anyone’s standards! In addition to the
talented SSS line up, Queensland’s Ken Stanaway,
Victoria's Troy Jordan and the local combatants; Tony
Abson, Rod Bright, Ryan Monaghan, Mark Cooper and Brett
Morris (to name just a few); are all ready to rock
TPCR’s 460m clayway.
Head to Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway this Saturday
night for the final round of the Speedcar Super Series
and kids don't forget to grab your Speedcar Showbag
photo at the front gate for a chance to win!
