SSS Director Ken Jenkins
has officially announced the schedule for the 2008-2009
Speedcar Super Series, covering 6 tracks throughout QLD,
VIC, NSW and the grand finale in SA.
"The plan was to build on the progress the SSS has made
over the last few seasons" Jenkins stated. "Avalon and
Charlton have both recommitted this year with Lismore,
Maryborough and Archerfield Speedway newcomers to the
SSS scene. We are also very pleased to be returning to
Speedway City for the final round a week prior to the
Australian Championships.”
Round 1 of the series championship is scheduled for
Brisbane International Speedway (Archerfield) for the
25th of October 2008, a superb track for the Speedcar
superstars to kick off the series and showcase their
skills for Promoter John Kelly and Queensland Speedcar
fans!!

BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
Continuing an onslaught of sensational Speedcar
competition, under one month later the series starts
it’s two week stint in Queensland where Toowoomba’s
Charlton Raceway hosts round 2 on November 22nd; the
scene of last season's spectacular battle for the lead
between Mark “Browndog” Brown and SSS 40-lap Feature
winner Nathan Smee.

CHARLTON RACEWAY
Round 3 is set to take place the following week on the
29th November, with the series travelling further north
to Maryborough Speedway located in Queensland’s Fraser
Coast district. A new track for the Speedcar Super
Series, the locals will not be disappointed!

MARYBOROUGH SPEEDWAY
Jeff Drew of Victoria’s Avalon Raceway has raised his
hand to host another round of this great series. A track
which showcases the "elbows-up" style racing will once
again highlight the skills of our Speedcar drivers!
Round 4 is scheduled for December 20th!

RACEWAY
Round 5 is set to excite on January 10 as the SSS heads
to Northern NSW's Lismore Speedway. The bull-ring track
run by David Lander will draw attention to the tight
wheel-to-wheel racing synonymous with this division!

LISMORE SPEEDWAY
The 6th round and grand finale has been slated in for
January 17 with the SSS returning to Wendy Turner’s
Speedway City! A track renowned for action packed
racing, this will be the perfect place to wrap up the
SSS championship. Held one week prior to the Australian
Speedcar Championship, South Australia is the place to
race for all Australian Speedcar competitors in January
2009!

Speedcar clubs across Australia" concluded Jenkins.

with some of the best drivers in Australia supporting
the SSS. This looks to be a fantastic year with an
