NSR PR
Nathan Smee is set to return
to Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway this Saturday night after a
short hiatus from the Speedcar division. Making a quick guest
appearance in a Sprintcar a few weeks ago, Nathan rejoins the
Speedcar field in the freshly painted red number 6.
Having the full support of
his sponsors, family and crew after a violent crash which
destroyed the NSR race car; Nathan retakes to the circuit much
to the credit of engine builder Terry King of Dominator engines.
"Terry and
Debbie offered their chassis to me right after the crash at
Parramatta so we could finish off the season; I didn't want to
rush back straight away but now is the right time to get back on
the race track."
"I know Terry's
car will be competitive as it always has been in the past," said
Smee. "I don't expect too much in my first run though, as we
really want to make it right for the 50 lapper, but once I'm out
there I'll be giving it all for a win."
With engine
designer Joe Fontana holidaying in Australia, Nathan and
Dominator Engines would like to finish at the pointy end of the
feature for the American icon.
"I know that I
have competitive equipment that is capable of winning, so it's
all up to me as a driver to get up towards the front and keep it
there."
Nathan Smee
Racing is ready to go for the two final shows of the 2006-2007
