It’s the season opener this
Saturday night at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway and the
first race meeting for the newly formed Nathan Smee Racing Team.
It’s been a hectic few weeks at the NSR workshop with Speedcar
#6 rebuilt from scratch. Purchasing the stealth chassis
campaigned last season, the team have joined forces with
Dominator Engines and planted a beasty Fontana below Smee’s
heavy race foot!
A seasoned performer and winner of the 2005-2006 Bikebiz 50 Lap
Classic, Smee will debut the #6 Stealth Fontana this weekend
after making final adjustments to his race car.
“We've all been working around the clock; it's been busy but I
can’t wait to get back out on the race track” said Smee.
This race meeting is the first opportunity for the NSR team to
fine tune their race package ahead of the Track Championship
opener on the 30th September and the start of the upcoming
Speedcar Super Series.
“We’ve signed on as a contracted driver again this year and will
race all 6 shows (of the Series)”, said Smee “the racing is
great and it’s the only way we can race against the best drivers
across Australia before the Speedcar Championships.”
With the total support of family, crew and valuable sponsors,
the Nathan Smee Racing team will contest the NSW club
point score, the TPCR track championship, major race meetings
around Australia and the six round Speedcar Super Series.
